Why do I keep reaching out
To try and stoke the fading embers?
It may be dying but it still burns
And the last thing you seem to want
Is me around to keep it going
And I\u2019ve made so many mistakes
That I can\u2019t blame you for how you feel
But I can\u2019t seem to let it go
There\u2019s something there under the ashes
Too important to let vanish
So on I go fanning the flames
Desperately trying to keep it all going
