We do it all again
\nThe pleasantries
\nthe catching up
\nthe awkward smiles
\nIt\u2019s life on repeat
\nwith nothing in between
\nWe say we\u2019ll call
\nwe\u2019ll stay in touch
\n(this time we might even mean it)
\nbut we never follow through
\nWe\u2019ll drift on
\nour separate lives
\nand never even notice
\nuntil the next time
\nEmpty words
\nbroken promises
\nforever cycling
\nmaybe we were friends once
\nbut now we hardly know each other
\nand maybe it\u2019s better that way\u2026<\/p>\n

And now we\u2019re to the down cycle, folks. Just a little bitter, cynical take on the whole \u201cold friends meeting up\u201d thing.
