It\u2019s been a year today<\/p>\n\n\n\n
and it somehow feels like each and every one<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So much has happened<\/p>\n\n\n\n
and so much feels different <\/p>\n\n\n\n
for nothing of importance to have changed<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Still in the same place<\/p>\n\n\n\n
trying to fill the emptiness <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Going through the motions<\/p>\n\n\n\n
of a world that looks much darker<\/p>\n\n\n\n
and a life you left behind too soon<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Same old same old<\/p>\n\n\n\n
when it\u2019s all just a little less<\/p>\n\n\n\n
than the day before<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Still not sure what\u2019s next<\/p>\n\n\n\n
but I\u2019ll keep trying<\/p>\n\n\n\n
to figure it all out<\/p>\n\n\n\n
once and for all<\/p>\n\n\n\n
like you would\u2019ve wanted<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Because that\u2019s all I\u2019ve got these days<\/p>\n\n\n\n
these weeks, these months, this year<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So much I didn\u2019t understand<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I\u2019ve had to learn the hard way<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sure learned fast in these four walls<\/p>\n\n\n\n
when what held them up went missing<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But we carry on in memory<\/p>\n\n\n\n
one more year down the road<\/p>\n\n\n\n
and I\u2019m sure with time and patience<\/p>\n\n\n\n
the wound gaping in your absence<\/p>\n\n\n\n
will start to fade and heal<\/p>\n\n\n\n
but it\u2019s only been a year<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A lifetime of a year<\/p>\n\n\n\n
